Think about what you did on your last holiday or birthday. Was it going out for a nice meal, spending time with family, a parade, fireworks?
Recently, George H.W. Bush spend his 85th birthday skydiving! He challenged others that are aging to "get out and do something. Get out and enjoy life".
Here at Sunset, we try to get the message out that older adults can still be very active and vibrant. They may not all be jumping out of airplanes, but theyr'e not sitting still, either. Living at Sunset gives residents an opportunity to get as involved as they want to be. It might be taking part in water aerobics, volunteering in the library or attending a concert. The fact is, the community provides older adults a chance to stay involved and connected with others.
The former president said jumping out of a plane makes him "exhilarated and charged". Sunset may not offer that same type of charge, but our community can enhance your life, as it has for so many that end up saying, "I wish I had moved here sooner."
