  FOOD
One of God's greatest creations was food. Good food is important and brings not only nourishment to our bodies, but pleasure to our senses while eating. Think about how many events in life revolve around food...family gatherings, the celebration of milestones in life, socializing with friends, church programs and even sad events involve good food.
Sunset recognizes the importance of food in our resident's lives too. We have designed a variety of dining atmospheres, as well as unique and delicious entree items on our menus to choose from daily. An on-site, full service restaurant for residents and their friends and family...

What are YOU waiting for?
If you were to come in for a tour of Sunset today, or bring a parent who might be interested in seeing our community, what would you consider to be the best time for making the decision to move to a senior community? Sunset has all living levels- from independent to assisted care and memory care. What are your needs? We encourage seniors to move while physically independent so they can enjoy all of Sunset's ammenities AND a move is a lot less overwhelming when independent.
What are WE able to provide?
In 2009, all Manor single apartments that became available were taken by current residents in the independent living Villages. These residents have been able to use the continuum of care to their advantage, staying independent as long as possible, then move to an area where nursing care would be available to the extent that they need it.
What is available NOW?
Currently, Sunset has One Bedroom and Efficiency apartments available in the independent living Village right...

We are now entering a busy time of year for many. Christmas is coming and society can overwhelm our senses and increase stress with T.V. and newspaper ads calling us to purchase material items. Bright Christmas decorations are everywhere taking the emphasis off from Jesus, our precious Savior and replacing Him with santa, elves and snowmen. Christmas parties are already being penciled in on our calendars.....
Let us stop right here....let us REFLECT and be still before our King and Savior sent into this world to give us peace and save us from our crazy ways. It says in Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God". The environment we live in is full of distractions and communication overload! Many demands take us away from being still before our creator and REFLECTING on how amazing HE is and what a gift HE is to this sin-sick world.
I challenge you to be quiet today. Sit in his presence until...

I just finished conducting an orientation appointment with a dear woman moving into Sunset and was inspired by her attitude! When I asked how her packing and simplifying process was going she responded: "pretty smooth". After giving her all the information and resources needed for living at Sunset, I asked if she was overwhelmed. She responded: "there is no sense being negative about all this if I am going to do it anyway!" I thought: "I could use that line on my son as he resists doing his homework each night!"
How many times in life have we resisted doing something we know has to be done? A negative attitude just makes the task larger than what it really is doesn't it? Our lives can be different if we approached everything with a great attitude...knowing it is best for us.
Have you delayed taking the necessary steps to move into a senior community....knowing it is the right time? We can help you...
